Cadbury ‘Elfie Selfie’ Christmas Promo App

As part of a collaborative promotion between Woolworths and Cadbury, an ‘elfie selfie’ app was released to coincide with Christmas. The app involved the user taking selfies with 3D Animated elves tracked to their face. Facial recognition was utilised to detect when the user smiled, frowned or opened their mouth and the elves would emote along with the user. Additionally, an animated advertisement released on Cadbury’s facebook page was created for the promotion.

I was responsible for rigging and animating of all assets in the project, as well as their implementation into the unity game engine. The project involved a number of stages of rigging and animating - there needed to be both a high-poly version of the elf rigged for the promotional video, as well as a real-time ready low-poly version.
